Wood Garage Doors
Wood doors can be as ornate or as simple as you want them to be. We use a lot of regional woods like Western Red Cedar and have made doors from more exotic woods like African Mahogany. If your doors are finished properly (before installation on all six sides) they can last and look beautiful for many years.
We have fully custom doors like the Heritage Classic from Northwest Door. These are insulated wood doors with decorative overlays and many options for glass sections as well. These doors are available in both stain and paint grade doors to match the exterior design of your home. The “C” series Heritage Classics have a tongue and groove material applied to the door face prior to the application of the overlay design. This overlay material is back cut with 1/8” grooves to help resist cupping or warping before it is applied to the door. All The windows are true divided and can even have custom radius arches to match your garage door opening.
If you want to save a bit of money on your wood door creation, you can use either the Builder Collection (still available in stain grade) or the Township Collection (only available in paint grade). These doors are not fully customizable like the big brother Heritage Classics. They are available in standard sizing with a standard radius available on top sections.
For those of you with your 1970's or 1980's style houses, we still can make wood panel style or flush wood doors to match your needs. These doors are constructed using mortise and tenon stiles and rails for strength. Choose from these recessed 1/4" panel materials, Luan Mahogany Plywood Panels (Model 321), Rough Sawn Fir Plywood (Model 326), and Tempered One Side Hardboard Panels (Model 322).
